The Inspiring Parent

MEET DANIELA

“Once upon a time, I had no help. Now, I am creating a village of amazing people and have access to helpful resources at Chemeketa.”

Daniela story

Daniela is a dreamer, DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) recipient, and a parent of two. A teenage mother at the age of 15 and now a parent of two at the age of 22. She is a first-generation college student Latina of her family. Her goal is to become a dental hygienist, but due to a lack of reliable information, she didn’t know how she would pay for college. With the help of Chemeketa’s advisors, they found resources and scholarships. She is now a full-time student pursuing her educational dreams and goals. “Once upon a time, I had no help. Now, I am creating a village of amazing people and have access to helpful resources at Chemeketa.”
